this year's autumn arrived particularly late, preceded by an unseasonal warmth. the osmanthus flowers, which should have bloomed in early october, didn't open their buds until recently, when cold fronts finally lowered the temperature. i visited li'ao village, in longguan, haishu to admire the belated blossoms.
